Description

Yesterday wondering what that lake was, eh? Well, it's the lake Grauseeli at 2510 m (8235 ft), a little lake with a diameter of about 100 meter with a remarkable blue grayish color. That color is probably caused by fine rubble deposited by the rivulet streaming through it. This rivulet is fed by a little glacier that will be disappeared in a short time. Unfortunately the wind blows too much on the surface of the water and the surface will not be the mirror we should like. But feel free to see what it might have lookliked at http://www.walkingswitzerland.com/walks/walksv01/vw001a.shtml. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 28 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Thanks for shifting the view to the little lake, it's fascinating! I love this wonderful mountainscape and am going to check out the link you have posted! I am curious about the way that area of rock in the bottom left corner, close to the lake, appears to have been sliced through! It may be shadow exaggerating it, but do I assume it is the constant erosion of water?

The foregound leaps out with an abyss in the middleground before the blueness of the background. Reality shakes pleasantness.

That mirrored surface is nice, but I like your photo better for some reason. The blue is amazing, as are it's surroundings. Stunning photo!
