This is my first Rendo upload - taken this morning, to show the struggle of green to push onward in spite of the arrival of fall here in Illinois. I was attracted to the picture by the contrasts - thus the name - and the primary colors - almost red, green, yellow. One wayward Maple leaf flew over our patio wall as if to tell the plant to hurry, and landed amidst a carpet of tiny fallen leaves from an overhanging tree, preparing the gound for its first dusting of snow (hopefully not TOO soon!) I intentionally focused on the growth, with the "pretty, but bad news", in the out-of-focus background. Taken with a Casio Exilim EX-40Z. (The answer to my "always wanted a reasonably good camera that could be with me ALL the time). I hadn't noticed the fly on the leaf when I first took the picture, but decided to "leave" it as I'm very aware of how they are slowed down by the colder weather, until they disappear for the season.
