Description
I always enjoy flower photography, but decided to try my hand at "artistic" in a sort of mathematical way. Starting with a photo, I pixelized it to 64 wide pixels, then overlaid 58 wide at 50% transparency, then subsequently smaller pixelization at higher transparency (finally I think 10 at 85%). Result sort of a "cubism". I decided to show the original next to it. I "framed" it with a simple "average picture color" sort of color, feathered, then did a "smart pour" of the brown that followed the highest density - just "futzing around".
Tell me what you think, I'm VERY OPEN to constructive criticism (how else can I learn!).
My 2nd upload. My 2,500th or so picture on my 2-month old camera. Original 2304x1728 1/250 Sec on Casio EX-Z40, resized to 1024 then cropped then "futzed"... Enjoy!

Your photos are spectacular!!! Just from viewing them I learn so much to help me improve my own!!! Love the colors and clarity of the first shot and the creative composition on the second one. Well done!

nice photograph of flowers. sounds like an interesting process of turning them into a cubist style visual...would like to see you take it a few steps further.

Very nice image of a very pretty flower. (Actually, I think the picture looks better than the original, which I've seen in real life.) I think I prefer the unmodified flower to the cubist version, but I'm always that way about cubism.
