Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

glad we missed the cable railway...more time to explore here and enjoy this incredible scenery! Fabulous to look upon the valley, and, of course, the mountains are breathtaking! Fabulous work here, my friend! Jan-Carel, have you ever eaten sugar-free chocolate? Uh...Nikki's got it right...NO FUN! And it makes BIG, BIG problems for your stomach because of the sugar alcohols! You all go enjoy your snack...I'm just gonna stay here awhile and try to focus on dancin' hills! plops down on ground, lays head back against a rock, and looks up into this big beautiful sky!

Oh, what a contrast: Those soft hills and these sharp and hard ridges. BTW: Perfect 3x3 rule picture!
