Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

I don't know if i'm seeing the same cloud as Ikarius, the I do see a head in the middle with an arm stretched out!!!! Has to be Jesus!! About Corrie Ten Boom...she was my inspiration as a child! Those rays are simply amazing! Excellently captured, JC! Imho I would darken the shilhouette a bit more or cut out... but that's just me! Really love the quote by this Dutch woman... when all doors are shut, God opens a window... Yes it's most important to never give up hope in every situation! Thank you for sharing this beautiful work!

I used to think of him on the sundays at the gym when I would ask the big redheaded guy to not drop the 85 pound bar on my foot as I passed his extended arms off the bench and he lay there and would say, "shut up! I'm concentrating." Now what should I do with this pair of 60's I have in my hand so close to his head? The sundowners know.

I echo your comments, Jean Carol. I appreciate your dedication. Like everyone else, I enjoy your beautiful photos. They remind us of the power of God, and how small our problems are, when God is working on their solution. Thanks, and God bless ..
