Twenty four
Unbelievably, it was the beginning of term again. The schoolmaster dragged himself out of bed and ambled down to the school to ring the bell. Here they were; his bright-eyed charges, ready to start learning new and exciting things, and probably teaching him a thing or two in the process. Then he realised that the quads were missing. His heart sank. They might be naughty and even infuriating sometimes, but they were never late. No one had seen them.
He settled the rest of the class and went next door to the Mouse Training School to see the quads
