Though most of the interior Iceland is volcanic and glacial, there are verdant pastoral lands like these near the coastline. This makes Iceland quite habitable. *********************** Thanks to all those who visit and comment. ************************

Your entire Iceland series has just been amazing, like a National Geographic story. I had always heard "Iceland is Green, and Greenland is all ice", and your photos have shown this, along with some spots of great beauty. I'd love to visit also, but as a Californian/Floridian who feels chilly anywhere below 75 deg(F), I think I'll just settle for your excellent photos!! Thanks very much for posting.
