Description

Lol thats why im stuck.. The way i work is the following.. I think out the storys only cause to continue them i need to model (well and its fun and a lot of selfreflection as i said before) In this "Story" i aimed a lot higher (considering the modeling) as i did in the federal forces stuff but the detail is killing me. Usually i can hide that doing a render but this time i want it to be perfect. (well near to at least) Now look at that droid, actually i like the mesh.. apart from the face where i will have to come up with a very different solution.. Ill also have to find a solution for joining the legs to the body believable.. and then there is the hands.. the polycount is far beyond acceptable (9600 for 1 hand i have overdone the mesh smoothing ) and i never get them to fit the blasters properly lol which means either the blasters not right or the hand wrong meaning a rework in any case lol. What i like very much tho is the style of the meshes i lately developed even tho they have a slight japanese toy like influence i have the feeling. I think ill finish the story fast .. and then spent a lot of time reworking the models which means no fun rendering and a hell of a lot of work. Wish me luck.. Dj

9,600 polygons for one hand!!! Good grief. You must have one massively powerful computer to render all those polygons. That design is coming along very, very nicely. Hope you have the energy to clean up that mesh. Fantastic work.

Wow Dj! This is amazing! The droid could is so intricate with details, and those 'blasters' are cool! Wonderful work on the background, lights 'n' shadowing. Love your 'stuff!' V (:

A vote - and I wish you luck if it will help - but in my eyes you already achieved perfection. Does the droid have to have hands? A lazy mans thought: why not just plug in blaster extentions to it's arms ... definately a Japanese toy solution. When it isnt blasting, plug it into a Mech - or spaceship ... or a vibrator. hehehe.
