Mark Twain made some comments about self taught and I agree ... and it is not a "plan" *LOL* ...
It's supposedly more interesting perhaps ... bujt I don't recommend it ... and it adds up to nothing

(At this era I am using monitor display settings of 1280 x 1024 @ 96 ppi, it appears most commercial websites are assuming that setting also, therefore I am now designing JPEG files for that target ~ however many are still using a variety of more vintage settings, for example even down to 800 x 600 and maybe @ 72 ppi, and these files may well lack sharpness when displayed on those monitors ... it's too bad we still have zero standards and all moving targets designing anything, especially for web page useage.)

(oh ~ on this one, of course I did some Photoshop selective colour and lighting adjustments, also to tone back the foreground lighting at bottom, and I feel I could easily take the selective brightness & saturation enhancements a lot further ... and one of the large tree trunks to the lower left with the dappled shadows had been more bright and plain and overly attention getting so I redacted that to match its companion, to the benefit of the entire image.)

Beautiful shadows, and pools of light, the right ballance of color and contrast! Great image!
