Yes, it's true. On the internet, I'm a rather dull, mild-mannered digital artist, but in real life, I am actually Superfrog.
"Faster than a speeding dragonfly, stronger than a flathead catfish. Able to leap ten hungry alligators in a single bound. Look! Out in the swamp! It's a bird. It's a boat. It's Superfrog!"

For me, ideas are like butterflies that are flittering around by the dozens. Just grab one and render it, then move on to the next.
BIO:
I began 3D art with Bryce 3 in April 1999. Before that I played with various 2D styles and techniques. Back in the mid-70's and 80's, I worked in metal sculpture and had a line of "frog prints" selling in stores all over Southern California and Arizona. I have been in art in some capacity since childhood. Since the computer came along, I 've pr3etty much lost touch with brushes, pens and pencils which I regret.

Great idea and very cool work. Creating the birds via lattices is a clever idea! :-)

Super !

I guess being a "seedy" part of town is what draws the birds? Great work on the layout and lattices. Need to call maintenance...they need to replace the traffic light on the left!

HaHa! I thought the thumbnail was a real photo until I saw the Bryce category listed! Awesome work - love the emptyness feel to it...leaving out the buildings worked out pretty well!

Fun! Birds do this a lot. I wonder what they're thinking about. Anyway, fun image, I like it.

Hey, now, watch what you say about my street. True, there are "seeds on it" today and the occasional vagrant hangs around the "Edge" nightclub. 100 years ago the saloons attracted the Stanford students, understand the brothels were cheek by jowl with the bootleg breweries.... All together, a wonderful render and gets your point across. This excellent-vote from S. California Ave Palo Alto, my abode! ;-)

a window washers paradise, cool work!!!!!

Looks real quiet and peaceful - new definition of "seedy"? Lol!

Love your birds! I think your decision to leave out the buildings is good for your composition. Great scene.

Looks cool. You have all those birds roosting but the area underneath them is clean? You don't want to be standing there.

I am so glad this representation is void of buildings! The birds really make this piece, give it a life of its own. Nice work in the DOF stuffs, the mountains in the background and haze really add to the folly of the burd! (= (ever see animaniacs? The gang of pigions is a scream...)
ShadowWind
Reminds me of a scene from a Pixar animation. Well done...Love the lattice birds...

Cool pic. This way it looks like an as-yet-undeveloped part of the suburbs, instead of a seedy part of town.

...absolutely superb composition !!!! -unreal realism.......the clean feeling of wide open space is overpowering!
