Description
This is a WIP because a) I'm not sure I like the pose, b) I need to add a background and c) I have to figure out a better way to paint the white streak in the braid. ;-)
This is Neil Edward Lord, aka Winter, the father of Artic and Borealis and the grandfather of Dice. He was once a mortal man (if never a 'normal ordinary' mortal man) and a Paladin but is now the Ard Righ (High King) of Faery and a demigod (though you'll never get him to admit to the demigod part). He came to Faery to fulfill a pledge and ended up getting, well, railroaded (by the goddess, Dana) into the the High King position. His sword, Lifestealer, was carved from one of the fangs of the great ice dragon Winter and is supposed to look like it was carved out of snow. Neil, by accident, became 'one' with his sword and by extension, the spirit of the dragon, Winter. He has the power to control the weather and when he gets mad, the temperature tends to drop and it often starts to snow.
If you ask him how he ended up siring a herd of white-haired shapeshifting rogues, he just rolls his eyes, shakes his head and mutters about females who won't take no for an answer, the whims of dragons and the horse goddess, Epona.

great image. He's nice without the background. Maybe the white stripe in his hair should be more weaved around?? maybe try seeing how a ribbon braided in hair looks like and go by that. still, he's great!!! :) excellent textures on his suit. love the mask!! :)

use a smaller brush for the white streek set it to screen and paint away, you can always lower the opasity if need be. but I think what you've done here is fine and it came out wonderful. Keep up the great work, I should add you to my favorites so I don't miss out on these hot men you keep doing. =) sorry for being vulgar, but man, they are hotties.
