Description
Hey! I am getting, how you say: sneaky,eh? I put four images in a single postings!
(Continuing the interrupted (to be interrupted) tour.)
Upper left is a closer look at some of the pictures in the windows of that building on main street. We also see that this building had an earlier life as evidenced by the IOOF plaque. Not sure if it still has this function. Anyhow, this sort of thing give whole new meaning to 'picture window', eh?
Upper right is the feed basin for the power station. We see a railroad bridge in the background as well as the top of the tower from town hall. These tracks end up alongside the hall as you see in that picture. Center is an old industrial building now doing duty as a bar/pub.
Lower left is the spillway for the power plant. We gots some water under all that ice to be sures. The interesting building is an interesting building. Looks like an old mill or warehouse with a modern extension. I thinks this contained a restaurant and shops. We did not go in. Mr. Weesel was convinced the cold would freeze his pixels and not too sure about the flashcard eithers. You know, eh?
Lower right is the spillway emptying back into the river which has some nice houses on the shores. We did not get back here before the thaw, but we think this must be a nice place for Summer fer sures.
(Apologies to RCAF for picking up their spoofy characters' accents ... tell me about it. Now we goes to Tim Horton's for coffee and donuts, fer sures, eh?)
Enjoy; thanks for the viewing, eh?
(A playoff of Tim Horton's, Dunkin Donuts, and Krispy Kreme would be interesting. On a day like this, hot coffee and fat pills are a winner. Even if you don't like hockey! )

A very nice tour of Altmonte. Looks like a great place to live. I use to live in Deseronto near Napannee, Belleville area. I never got to Altmonte however. The picture windows are terrific.
