Eyeland, Bush thought for 7 minutes (mind you, while maintaining a calm front for a roomful of children the same age as my own which the beeper and cell phone wearing press didn't even consider as they started "scurrying" around), Kerry admitted to standing MOTIONLESS and SHOCKED for 30 MINUTES in Daschle's office. Do you honestly think that would be any different if he were President? If he was so affected when the weight of this didn't rest on his shoulders, what would have been his reaction if it had? I'm really sick and tired of people criticizing Bush for the 7 minutes. Personally, I think he did the right thing and should great personal strength in taking time to compose himself and assure for the comfort and stability of the children. I know how astute children can be. We highly underestimate how in-tune they are with their surroundings. As for honesty and integrity, I think both sides have done their share of exaggerating and misleading. Meeting with the WHOLE security council before voting? Meeting with foreign leaders that have said they want a candidate to win because we need a policy change? Stating that we have alienated our allies and then when an allie comes out and voices an opinion we don't like, saying it is due to the "close relationship" he has with the sitting President? Either he's close or he's alienated. Yes, I've focused on Kerry here. I've researched both and found Kerry to be the more disengous and flat out dishonest one. Not "misspoken" but flat out LYING!!
