Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

In our books the dwarfs live under those pretty hats :D Beautiful little family, it is rather unusual for them to grow in a group like that... :))

Fantastically colourful shot. I have never seen this kind of mushrooms. They are very attractive, hence poisonous? Lovely capture. All we need is some dwarves sitting on them. It is like a fairy tale. Super!

I never saw such mushrooms only on pictures! Wish to have energy to walk deep in forest (he, he!)! Excellent done!!!

A caterpillar smoking a pipe would bring the tale to life. These earthy tones leap right out of the green.

excellent shot with permission! ;o) then the song is wrong: "Ein Mnlein steht im Walde" - because in the song it had to stay alone in the wood! the garden of your neighbour isn't greener but there is more poison than in yours!

This is really perfect! I'm searching for a toadstool since a very long time, but with no success. Very beautiful arrangement!

Do you want to poison us, my friend? Your picture is a great proof than the beauty is frequently linked to the danger, in mother nature...

Red stool...for Little Red Riding Hood to rest on whilst she eats a snack! :) These are REALLY cool shrooms!!! Never saw anything like these before!!! Interesting how one is as flat as a pancake and the other two are plumped up! Hey, is that a bug on that shroom on the left? enjoy this fairy tale place!!! Oh yeah, we have similar saying, "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." Excellent work! :)

Fabulous shot ~ they are such a wonderful colour too.
cynlee
much the same saying here... but those are perfect specimens any fairy or pipe smoking caterpillar would luv to call home! :]

calld "Amanite tue mouche" in french, when they are present, "Ces de Bordeaux" and "Bolets blafards" are not far in forests i know, and omelettes are not far too :-) great shot !

Today, was the first time I had ever seen them before, growing on my friend's land! They were all different sizes and there must have been more than twenty. Some of them appeared to have been nibbled, but I have no idea what had left the marks. I saw two deer as well, so you can imagine how bad I felt that I hadn't got my camera with me! I'm so thrilled to see yours! Magical!

I didn't know such things existed... so colorful and they look huge... are they? You're right... straight from a fairy tale.

What a fabulous, almost fantasy-like photo! Those mushrooms are amazing...the color and shape really make them seem surreal. Excellent shot!

Kind of funny to see that cynlee didn't mention licking this variety! (lol) she must know something abt poison. When the little ones grow up do they loose the roundness of their tops like the granddaddy?
