Description

This is my version of Yggdrasil, The World Tree of Norse Mythology. According to norse legend, the ash tree grew from Ginnungagap and housed the Nine Worlds. Yggdrasil had three major roots: one at the Well of Urd, the second at the Well of Mimir and the third went to the well in the underworld. I actually created this piece sometime ago ... I just decided to add in some norse/ancient scandanavian designs into the border and background. After this was sketched out, it was completed with a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
