Description

Uncommon for Dutch forests I found these european white birches (Betula verrucosa) lining up. Birches grow here abundantly on soil of sand, but are widely spread from here to Scandinavia. And of course in Canada and parts of the USA. There are several different species (I found 27 species on internet), and especially those on the American continent can show wonderful colors. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 28 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Very nice, good idea. The trees are a bit to sharp and so the picture looks a bit too uneasy and "moving", but this is not disturbing and looks like as it is meant.

never saw trees like this before. this reminds me of some painting i studied in an art class in college. no idea what piece or what artist. just can't remember. this is very unusual forest. i see there are still many green leaves. i am getting associations when i look at this, but they're no clear. it's an excellent foto!

Very impressive shot. I love the way the trees are spaced. Extraordinary picture! Have you tried a little bit of gaussian blur?

Nice one. I first remember birches in my grandmother's garden, mixed with rowan trees. They were much older, more mature, and not as vertical. In nature, in the Clyde Valley, of Scotland, many birches are found surrounded by bluebell flowers in the spring.

Did you know that fractals are not born in mathematicians minds? This concept is an attempt to explain some aspects of nature. This image is the proof that fractals were there, a long time before computers rule the world!...Great shot.
