Description

John K Baron was convicted of killing 12 people between 1965 and 1972. The world renowned lawyer represented himself in court, but even his keen intellect and legal skill wasn't enough to turn over the conviction. He was sentenced to death and the ruling judge, Judge McCann, put him on the fast track through death row. Baron laughed as he was taken away, he looked the judge in the eye and said "I'll be back after my appeal." Baron never got his appeal and was executed at 12 noon on 31st October 1974. His final words were, "I'll be back after my appeal". Exactly 12 months later, on halloween, Judge McCann died from a suspected heart attack, although some say he died of fright. At the same time, inmates at the prison were woken by loud footsteps coming from the corridor, followed by blood curdling laughter. Guards came running, but the corridor was empty, although one was sure he saw a shadow of a man in a long coat moving along the wall. Even today, 30 years later, and even though the prison is empty and unused, people who visit say that, if they remain quiet enough, they can hear footsteps along the hallway and some even hear laughter. Bryce model and render with a fair amount of postwork. It's based on a picture I found of Riverview, Crease Clinic. A still open psychiatric hospital. So actually, probably could have come up with a nastier story :-) Thanks for looking and happy halloween kids.

is this alcatraz? pretty scary story, and a great job of inserting that "ghost" in that photo. i believe! i believe. but again, what prison is this? is it alcatraz island?
