Description

"The blow of the knight's mace had shattered the crown, breaking the undead lords power. Without Zrie's prodigious will driving them onward, the skeleton army became a disorganized and directionless rabble. By the early afternoon, the battle had been won and the undead army dispersed. As the crows gathered overhead, it was time for the survivors to count the cost of their victory." Someone once said that you don't win a war, you just survive it. 11/12 of the series. Thanks for looking and for any comments, votes, or ideas you may choose to leave. They are all most appreciated. (Coming soon... the series finale (12/12) and the "cast list") EDIT - This paragraph was going to be put on the final image in the series - but there's a 4096 character limit... so here it is on this image -> This series has used some free items made by John Malis (the skeleton texture in the last few images) and Bloodsong (the skeletal horse that appeared in a few images in the series). Thanks folks.

This by far the most dramatic picture of the series, the attention to detail is inspiring. Details such as the man holding, probably suffering from shell-shock, and the background people giving mercy killing, gruesome and yet.....

Awesome... I wish I knew how you made scenes like this, I've never been able to get more than a few characters into my scenes before things become tedious...

Fantastic work that shows the full range of emotions... the sadness for friends departed in the foreground contrasted against the joy of having won in the background. Can't wait to see how you wrap this series up.

Absolutely incredible work! If I had to be critical (and I am hard pressed when viewing a masterpiece of this magnitude), I would have to agree with the comment of not enough dirt and grime. I also find the archer in the background a great tounge in cheek detail, since I'm not sure how effective an arrow through a skeleton's rib cage would be.
