There was a time and a place in a song that I love to recall,
it was sung by Peter, Mary and Paul.
It takes me back to a time and place,
when I had a magical friend and life was not filled with such a furious pace.
Little Jackie Paper had his friend Puff,
why, when we get older do memories of dragons fade to dust?
Like Jackie we would travel and play in a magical land,
find pirates gold, travel in space, even see Custer?s last stand.
It was friends like Puff you could trust and confide,
they were there when you needed them and you never had to hide.
But as we get older, as with Jackie when he never returned to Honah Lee,
we tend to dismiss our friends like Puff as only silly childhood glee.
My only hope is there is a place for Puff and all his friends,
somewhere they can run and play with no boundaries or ends.
Fore it would sadden me to know if Puff could no longer come out to play,
I wish it were possible to summon Puff back home to us this very day.
Many thanks to Peter, Paul, and Mary
I didn't know what catagory to place this in so Fantasy came closest.

Just beautiful...."somewhere they can run and play with no boundaries or ends." :) There are times when I long for those days and the simplicity. Thanks for the smile in heart. V

Superb work. When the 'kid' in us stops we all lose much, imho.
