Description

Before anyone else notices, I would like to apologize for the poor quality of the images here. I forgot to set my digital camera to manual mode and forgot to increase the resolution, but started snapping pics furiously. That's what happens when you don't have enough experience doing these things. One of these days I'll get it right. I just wanted to share these shots I took from the top of The Peninsula Bangkok. I took the top set at around 7:00 AM (I'd been waiting around since 6:00 AM); and the bottom set was taken at about 4:00 PM. I wish I could say that I get to wander into a 5-star hotel and gain access to the helipad because of this photography hobby, but I was there to take site photographs of an adjacent site for work. Don't worry... the next set of shots will turn out better. I try to learn from my mistakes. Thank you very much for taking the time to look.

This is very cool image, Moe. I also thought it was a future dystopia image, but with views like these I can understand some of where your dystopia designs come from! Great images, shame you had to be awake so early though! =:0

Thanks for the feedback folks! :o) My biggest problem with the top set of images is that I had left the exposure to automatic, so it compensated for the light the way it wanted to... leaving me with those dark streaks on either side of the middle images. Oh well.

You did super considering that you were using a digital. My hat is off to you. :-) Bet you could do wonders with a medium format TLR ... or even a 35mm SLR. Lucky you.

Great subject matter Moe! Heh, heh, I guess we can see where you get some of your inspiration! That's what's so cool about your models: The are great sci-fi, yet grounded in reality.

Wonderful shots, I guess your great sense of cityscape covers the world of photography as well. Not to mention your cool Dystopia. EXCELLENT!
