Description
This is really a wip, but I thought it fit this month's theme so well that, although it still has a way to go, I think this bit of the painting is far enough along to share.
Created for my dearest Matt. Watercolour on canvas.

Gun knew so well :-) And I love this! So energetic way to move towards the winter. Wonderful colors, and happy Matt to receive this beautiful painting! hugs to both of you :-D

Love your colour scheme as usual Cass, and I think the wet-on-wet blotches are by far and away the most fascinating aspect of working in watercolours. I love working with paint most when it's allowed to do its own thing and influence you along the way, I guess that's why I've embraced the chance element in digital art too L. Controlled chaos as you say, it's nice to have some "feedback" from the medium itself! Gorgeous work as usual my friend, with colouring as rich as always. Thank you so much for sharing Matt's present hugs :-D

This Is An Outstanding Work Of Artbevchiron
This is such a dynamic expression of the invincible power of the seasons Cass! The paint & canvas are so tactile & the sense of movement so strong I can feel the image in my fingertips! Love those soft shifts in hue too, beautiful work Matt must be thrilled ; )
jocko500

I have to comment on this, seeing as I am the intended benificient of this marvellous piece. I love Aki, coalescing from the Autumn winds, the reaper of death, Herald of Winter. The temple he is leaving is Kinkajuji, the Golden Temple (and very reminiscent of summer's yellow hue). Thank you Cassie for this treasured gip (gift-in-progress ;))! He kicks (|) !

I love the energy of this image. wonderful use of color that pushes the limits of the medium. Excellent work.

Such a great feeling of movement and life is portrayed here, and a wonderfully intense feeling of drama, especially in his eyes. You've done great work Cassie, and if this is just a small portion, I can't wait to see the rest of it! hug

At the moment I can't bear another "jidaigeki" or japanese historical drama, but in your case, Cassie, I'll make an exception! Always fascinating to see your works in progress. This seems to have something in common with my kendo image(s) just posted?
