Description

Based in part on a book by Stephen King, that I read while travelling through New Mexico, and then in part on the experience of seeing New Mexico. The figure in the background is Daz3d's Victoria2, with a texture by Omen55, the "tentacle" is by Ajax, from the Renderosity Store. Background and figures rendered in Poser. Postwork in Photoshop.

I'm not familiar with the book, yet I feel compelled to say that this is a very impressive work. Any Susan Sedon Boulet influence?

It's obvious that there is no infection there. Haha ;~) Great pic Syyd. It does a good job in conveying the feelings of the book. Well done!

Auh. You've returned - and with a head full of dreams, I see. :) I really like the colour palette on this. There is so much that my eyes wish to interpret here. The texture combined with the colours reminds me very much of the delicate colours of Spring's birth and earth, as if the body itself is terrain, or without true flesh, perhaps inner terrain of the soul. The bright haloed and blurred light about the head - brilliant dreams. And I'm ever so curious about firgure just off of the right shoulder. I see it as ancient spirit or shape shifter holding a bit of bone, acting as both witness & influencer to the dreamer. Whatever is it, it is where my eyes seem to want to return to the most whilst viewing. I'm glad you're posting again - I adore the journeys you take me on...

Wow, like everyone said. Great amorphous space to venture back and forth and get lost in. All of that helped by the painterly aspect. Definitely intrigued to see what's in that mirror. But dare I look to closely? lol

Great and fantastic work Syyd!!, it impresses me the style in which is carried out, something in a different style, it is very original, the forms and textures have an incredible work (of many hours without a doubt), although I don't know the argument of the book that you mention, for the elements that you had used, symbolic some of them makes me suppose that it is a mystery story and death, those eyes with their penetrating look tell it to me. Welcome again to Renderosity!!!..

Nice to see the finished piece, Sydd. I love the play of light throughout. I think I'll put this on my desktop and treasure it for a while. You've made me very happy by using my tentacle in such a cool way.
