Description

Its a big day tommorow. We're off up to Glen Coe for the weekend. Two nights in the SMC hut under the magnificent Buachaille Etive Mor. Weather permitting we're going to attempt the Aonach Eagach ridge on the north side of the Glen. There are four tops connected by the scariest of narrow ridges made up of pinnacles, gullys and chimneys. Once on the ridge you are committed to the end, as there is no safe decent until the last top is passed. I've just sat tonight and watched "Touching the void"..... bad timing, eh? If we do it, I know that at the end I'll be wishing we went for a nice safe autumn forest walk, instead of the hill of the brown underpants! Plan B, if the weathers no good, is the Buachaille itself. Smoke me a kipper I'll be home for me tea!

I can invision myself walking along this path with the sound of cunching leaves beneath my feet then stopping and listening to the sounds of the forest be it silent or a rustling of wind through the remaining leaves. Excellent work.
