My name is James Lee. I am a self-taught 3D graphics artist living in Brighton, Michigan. Im a big fan of science fiction and cinema, finding design inspiration from movies like Star Wars and Blade Runner.
I use Rhinocerous (modelling), Poser 5 (figures), Cinema 4D (modelling and rendering), PhotoPaint 10 (post-production and texturing)
My current body of work focuses on an accidental heroine, a mouse named Claude, and an ensemble of alien characters caught up in unusual circumstances. BIO Proud to be featured on

Oh help me! I will never sleep properly again. And as for getting up in the night - for any reason - no, I can't. It will be dark. And THEY will be there. As I wake I will feel them. Waiting. Their backs turned - waiting. Waiting to show me their long dead faces. The anguish of death carved in their fearful faces. The knowledge that after death is nothing but a mindless extension of life, with no respite, no meaning. And a hatred of the living. They hate us! And they are waiting in the dark. Remember as a child your were afraid of the shapelessness of the dark. The objects in your room distorted with hideous aspect. The ungovernable fear that the horrific lurked in the night. Too frightened to call for help. But begging for someone to turn on the light and save you. And what if someone did come to the door - stopped at the door - and didn't turn on the light. Simply stood. Vaguely defined in the dim light. A silhouette you didn't know. The shape of unknown hair on an unknown head. Indefinable. Terrifying. Laugh by day at those fears. But imagine them whilst alone at night. Sit with your back to the open doorway of a dark room. Remember being a child? That is because as children we see the world aright. Night is a time for terror. We spend the growing years forcing ourselves to disbelieve - to not be afraid. But sometimes the mask falls away. The realness of terror returns. We know they are here. They know you are alone. They are drawn to our fear. Like insects to blood. It is not their presence that begins our fear - only heightens it. For who can stay unafraid when the dead come. As a child were we not even afraid of the word 'haunted', the term 'dead-of-night'? The haunters are waiting. Waiting. Waiting in the dark...
