I didn't take this photo. My mother did in the early sixties. Every winter we diverted a stream, flooded this field and made a skating rink for the whole village. No bright light in Scotland in the winter! Just thought I would share this with all you outdoor people.

Incredible.. I didn't know we could do this to get an ice skating field. As I like this sport, I should think about this idea and propose it to the farmers of Geneva area... Have a nice w-e.. ps:"Les Grandes Platies" is not so high! Just 2500m, no more!... :-))
