The biggest lie of all is thinking, saying or believing the devil doesn't exist. This is one of his most powerful assests. An angel of light, but prince of darkness, even his image, and appearance is a lie. Keep speaking out mnmpro, your message is heard. The sheapard will be happier with the one you reach, then the hundred that already with him.

When God created the whole Universe, when He (or She?) is almighty and omniscient - the lies and fear and badness belongs to this creation too. Then the so-called Devil is one of his creatures too. To hold back a truth is LYING. If God loves his creation and all his creatures, he also loves those that are not loved by those who think they are loved most by God. If only a lie can save the life of someone else (who is threatened by an evil person) then silence is cowardice. Every set of absolute moral rules has examples of situations in which these rules lead to the opposite of the original intentions. Life isn't always as easy as many people believe... Even moral rules do not release from personal responsibility for your deeds - and thinking about the consequences of your deeds.

You are right abmlober-God created the universe, He (not she) is almighty & omnipotent. Lies, fear and anything bad (sinful in nature) were not created by God but are the fruit of one of His created being (Lucifer, name changed to Satan) when he wanted to take His (God's) place (Ultimate Pride). God is not a she else the church would be her husband. Rev. 22:17 "And the Spirit and the bride (church) say, "Come!" Gods laws are absolute. When He said "Let there be light", only light was made (and the elements that can make perfect light). To hold back a truth by telling a differnt story is a lie. To shut your mouth and tell the person who is asking you a question is just simply not talking. That 's why we can plea the "5th". Now if you tell the person you have no idea what happened you are a liar. Absolutes? 1John 1:5 God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Yes, God does love everyone those who have repented and believe in His Son, Jesus and those who have not. However back to absolutes "The wages of sin is death " (spiritual eternal diconnected from God) If a lie can save someone (example from physical punishment) and someone tell that lie, the person has sinned against God and man. No two ways around that. Silence may be cowardice, but being a hero by telling a lie is having the pride of the world and wickedness in the heart. 1John 1:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father (He not she) is not in him. For all that is in the world- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, & the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away (scientist have proven this), and the lust of it: but he who does the will of God abides forever (spiritual rebirth and life). God loves the sinner that is the reason He came to die on the cross. We as Christians (repented & believe in Jesus) cannot boast in this because we too have sinned and still struggle with temptation. We are not trying to go to heaven alone, we want others to join us. "Sheep go in flocks, and so do God's people." It's very hard not to sin if even when you are a Christian but it gets easier as you grow in Christ. Tis is why He had to come, because none of us can save ourselves, or else we would have done it. Anyone with a conscience feels the condemnation within their soul when they have commited a sin. Beware: Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrist have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. 1John1:18

God created Lucifer, an angel of light, and gave him free will, just as he created Adam and Eve and gave them free will. Evil entered into the picture only as a result of the abuse of that free will, which God allowed -- because He had a plan all along to redeem his creations back to him if they would again use that free will to choose to turn to Him. He could have made us souless puppets and robots, but He did not want "toys" or "slaves" with no will of their own. He wanted children, who could know, appreciate, and share in His love. God gave rules for our benefit and our protection, not to bind us and tether us. God does not put us into paradoxical no-win situations -- if you feel you are there, it was not of His doing, and further, if you ask Him, He would provide another way out. He would not have you sin to save, or heal. With God there is always another way. When you feel like He is of no help, remember, "You do not have because you do not ask".

Amen to that servo. Unfortunately our generation is walking dead and blind to the mysteries of God, all because of disobedience. It's our command to make desciples of them. Pray to God that we do our part as the Spirit does His.

(very interesting discussion) Just wanted to say, the reason I like the part that says "If telling the truth endangers someone, silence is our best response".....is because, I see that God realizes that some people will use the truth to destroy other people.....there are some people who just can't wait to see others fall and they will use any means to see that happen....yes God is truth and in him there is no lie.

I had to respond to "bluliner35" because parts of the comment has just murdered the english language. First let me agee yes truth is infinite. Jesus said., "I am the way, the truth and the life..." He also said "if you have seen Me, you have seen the Father (God). I (Jesus) and the Father are one. He is the one who was, who is, and is to come. If God is infinite and He is truth, then truth is infinite. Can humanity grasp infinity? Yes, but only as much as God allows us now. However later we shall not only understand and grasp it, but we (those who believe in Jesus and have repented) will live it. If you have a truth which is your own, it cannot and will not compare to that which is God's. Now do not confuse truth with perspective. Two different things ( that's where I think you messed up) To use your analogy, if 50 eyes look upon one still life eg a piece of art, they do not see fifty truths but rather 50 perspective of the still life. The only one that can tell them if what they think they saw is what was truely intended is the one who made the still life. If we were there as one of the fifty we would stop to listen to the artist and learn what he really meant or wanted us to see. Why then don't we listen to the author of life, God. Lie is not a primary social skill, sorry if it was we would not punish people for telling a lie whenthey go into court. Purgery would just be a social behavior that one committed when they stood up to witness. No one can put you in jail justly because you shook someones hand (social skill). Lieing is set on the same standard as witchcraft. Wichcraft basically tells you one thing so that you are captured into believing another (basically). Many lies may spare suffering, no doubt about that, but the person who told the lie just decided to not listen to what God said and do his own. (basic disobedience) I would not tell you to lie to your daughter when she sings. I would embrace my daughter if see sound horid when she sings because I would have that special bond however, I would not tell her she is the most wonderful singing child I have ever heard. Love tells the truth. If Jesus had come and told us that, all of us are going to heaven because we have not been so bad because most of us have not killed anyone, and then we find out at the end of the age that unfortunatelyonly only those who are perfect (none of us are) can enter heaven, we would be angry and rightly so. Instead he said we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God and no one can enter the kingdom but through Him (which is basically believing in Him and repenting of our sins). That is the truth that belongs to all humanity right now but we have hardened our hearts toward it. And yes there is more to heaven and earth, especially heaven. Why? Even if we close our eyes and think of the best place that would be heaven (according to you that would be each persons truth) it would be far way from what is prepared for those who love and serve Him (Jesus the Messiah) That is what the bible says. Our righteosness is like filty rags to God. Only Jesus can represent us in heaven because He has suffered the punishment for our sin and freed Himself from death.

"If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him." The ninth-century sage Lin Chi gave this advice to one of his monks, admonishing him that this Buddha would only be a reflection of his unexamined beliefs and desires. There is more to this heaven and earth, horatio, than is dreamed of in your philosophy. Shakespeare. "Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies." Friedrich Nietzsche "Truth, in matters of religion, is simply the opinion that has survived" Oscar Wilde The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth" Henry Louis Mencken Reason is the natural order of truth; but imagination is the organ of meaning." C.S. Lewis Holding on to beliefs limits our experience of life. That doesn't mean that beliefs or ideas or thinking is a problem; the stubborn attitude of having to have things be a particular way, grasping on to our beliefs and thoughts, all these cause the problems. To put it simply, using your belief system this way creates a situation in which you choose to be blind instead of being able to see, to be deaf instead of being able to hear, to be dead rather than alive, asleep rather than awake. Pema Chodron "As soon as you begin to believe in something, then you can no longer see anything else." The truth you believe in and cling to makes you unavailable to hear anything new. And galileo's head goes on the block again. Telling a kid they aren't good is cruel. You're wrong.

Wow! "Bluliner35" you totally misunderstood what was said. I am dusting my feet off and turning away from this confusion. This will be my last comment on this subject for now. I obviously have an open mind because I agreed with the truths in your statement and gave reasons why I agree. However, you won't even agree on those things which bind us together. I can't force you or anyone to believe. I don't even have that power. The only one that does is the Holy Spirit. So I leave you in His care. Let me clarify a little. I also do a bit of singing myself with a group at my church (6 guys). Now when we started the group some of us had years of experience and some of us were just starting out. Now remember we love each other. This is how we showed our love at rehearsals. Whenever someone messed up on a note, we told them, whenever someone came late to practice, we told them that cannot work, whenever someone missed practice without calling and letting the others know, we spoke to them about it. Now the only one of those I want to stress on now is the note (singing) however all aspects of the descipline was necessary for us to grow. If we had stood there and told everyone even myself that I sounded perfect when I was off key, that would be a lie and it would not be love. If we had closed our eyes to the other rules (tardiness, respect for others etc.) and did not confront them, the group would not be together now(please trust me on that!). And let me tell you through all of the confrontation we have never fight (curse at each other etc.) in that group setting. We have been together for about 8+ years now. Yes, we messed up when we went to sing infront of an audience and still sometimes do. But, our advice to each other is not to go and make the practices harder or longer, but just to praise God because we have the breath to breath and the capability to use that breath to praise Him in singing. I was not telling you to tell anyone that they are bad when they sound awful and that they should not sing at all. I don't think any of the six guys in our group would make themself available if thats what they knew was going to be waiting for them at rehearsals each week. Instead, with the positive critisizm (Good and bad together) eg. That note was off the chain (Very Good!) today or That note needs to be changed because it does not blending with the rest of voices (Obviosly that's not good). We don't leave it there if someone in the group knows that note, he would take the guy who was messing up on the side and teach him until he can stand on his own. That, is love. Truth, Help, Understanding, etc. which to me because, I have lived it always have a positive outcome. Now does anyone in the group feel a little bad when they are told that their note is not good, sure, because we are human beings and we have our pride at times (we think we can do it all by ourselves) however let me tell you it's a tremendous difference when we are done and the song sounds great. Sometimes we even surprise ourselves and can't even give ourselves the credit. This is because we know for a fact that the Spirit fo God flows through us when we give Him praise and let us do exceedingly more that what we asked Him to do through us. If I was you, I would let my daughter sing her lungs out whenever she wants and that to me is a beautiful thing. And to a father I know it must be the most beautiful sound jsut to hear your child breath and sing for Joy. That sound good just thinking about it. How much more do I expect you to feel when you are closer to her that anyone here. However, if you think that this is something that she would want to do later professionally, then get here some singing lessions (church choir is a good start) I don't know how old she is so you will have to forgive me if I have jump way ahead. And I think she would not feel too bad if you were the first person to tell here that she is tone deaf, rather than a stranger. At least she will know the truth and not go into situations believing a lie. If thats not what she wants, make here sing, sing, sing, because that in itself is a beautiful thing. God Bless You My Brother.
