Description

Just a test to see if I could replicate a candle holder I saw the other day. Now I need to learn how to get this SSS to work for a candle. No postwork, C&C welcome.

Anybody have any ideas on how to get a candle material to look right? Does the subsurface scattering work with a HDRI image?

yes i think so but you have to have the dimensions right. because the subsurface goes in mm or inch depth and not in pixels.. this is excelent but it must be difficult to get the candle in because i don't see a hatch ;-)

thanks every1 - ronjonk, the real candle holder bottom unlatches to put the candle in. You can't see it in this pic.
