Description
a photo I took a few years ago in a local animal shelter. I think it is one of the most beautiful birds I hace seen. Te pic doesn't do it full justice.

A wonderful picture. I have never seen that kind of pheasent ... where does it come from ? Lovely bird almost unreal if you know what I mean (meant positive)

Very pretty colors on the bird and it is as if it not real with colors like that. Something like you see in fake birds that were painted in all those pretty colors but this one is real.

I think the Golden pheasant originated in Central China but has been bred in captivity for many years. I have read that George Washington may have bred them
