3 weeks ago I decided I wanted to learn to draw. I bought a book. How to draw anything.
by Mark Linley. published by Clarion. I think it is really good. Last week I bought myself a 67th Birthday present on some watercolour paints, brushes and papers. Here is my first attempt to draw and colour one of our cats (from a photo). I know it is not good and I dont know how to handle the brushes yet but I'm quite happy with progress so far as this is my first painting ever.

for a first painting - at 67 - this is great! :) I tried painting several times and can't do it at all - so I've given it up and enjoy photography and computer-art more, instead! great work and I think you'll draw lots of other great paintings still!
