Description

Tonight we stepped outside with the kids and watched a yearly display we call 'Northern Lights' or aurora borealis. This is my first time using the night landscape setting on the d70. I hope you like the results. Thanks for viewing and any comments. :0) Jodie

It looks like someone was at the right place at the right time!... I have been trying to capture this phenomenon for quite some time. And this is one of the best! The solar activity has been quite intense Lately, and it has been seen around the world. As far south as North Carolina. It is expected to continue over the next few days. You can learn more and see more images and space weather.com. Thank you, again Jody for sharing such a marvelous image. Keep them coming and keep looking up! - R
