Description

Sydney Death Adder (Acanthophis antarcticus) & Coppertail Skink (Ctenotus treniolatus) ~*@*~ Tidying up my bedroom tonight I came across this old watercolour from ten years ago. It was further worked into a large pastel later on, but I've always liked this one as you can see the snake's profle better than in the other, so decided to revamp it in Photoshop. ~*@*~ Thank you for viewing and your feedback is always appreciated :)

Now you make me want to see the original! Still a good PS overhaul even though the fragmentation stops my eye from settling anywhere, like the neon touches on that snake that would just be too luminous for watercolour L. Thanks for sharing hon hugs :-)

This is very intriguing! I love the colors, those warm tones of brown mixed with the cold of the blues....strange and beautiful! :)

I love that blue! So close to that wonderful colour that you only ever see on things like reptile skin & butterfly wings ; ) I really like the way you have composed this, the appearance of different dimensions really draws my eye in & then I see how beautifully integrated all the elements are, very successful experiment IMHO! Nice one Cass ; )

What a mysterious world you've created! There can be seen only a little hint of the drama - and then the scene changes. It could be restless, busy but the colors make the composition pleasant to follow. This is so interesting - it captures me totally. The picture is like an adventure where I can take part! Thanks Cassie :-)

It can be so refreshing to rework a piece of art, and the tiles have made it more interesting to view. I really like the colours on the reptiles; the blue is so vivid and eyecatching it really does make the profile of the snake quite remarkable. :D

I agree with Synapse, I'd love to see the original. Like the shadows, especially. But the tiles give it an intreging depth, as if they are glimpses of scenes from different times and POVs. Contemplating the meaning of them makes it more than just a skillfully rendered nature pic. Well done!

I just love the autumnal colors of this Cassie. In fact, there really is alot that I love about this. There are quite a few hidden textures and details that pop out and catch my eye when I look... very cool work AS ALWAYS!
