I love aircraft museums, even though it is difficult to get a picture free of other planes. You done an excellent job of composition

Hey, you found her. What a beauty. If one imagines that this plane flew around the world in 8 days, 15 hours and 51 minutes, then one must lift the hat in memory of the fearless pilot Wiley Post and his reliabel navigator Harold Gatty. Almost unbelivibal is the story that Post repaired the propeller with the help of a hammer with brocken off handle and a rounded stone after they had got stucked in the sand on Alaskan territory. Of corse I assembled the 1:72 scale Winnie Mae when I was young. I just liked the weel covers and the mighty engine hood. Fancy decals too. When I was much older I bought the run down DC-3 of Maharishi Yogi, chief of the Age of Enlightment organisation. He was also the former sitar teacher of the beatles. My plan was to fly around the world with my family and friends and a little Chihuahua dog - do a couple of films and then sell them to various tv stations. After the DC-3 was completly overhauled in Exeter/England we flew to Cannes/France and then to the small island of Elba/Italy, out in the mediterian sea. Because the cash flow stopped, we flew - over the snowcovered alps - back to Zuerich/Switzerland. Then I got bankcrupt. "My" DC-3 belongs now to a vintage airplane company with the name "AirClassic". They run two DC-3's and sometimes I can hear the deep engine sound roaring from abouve. Then I step outside on the balcony and look. I'm going to put a picture in the gallery, so you can see my Waterloo plane.

Thanks for your post on my page. You have given me an idea for a new title for that rendering now that I know a bit about this aircraft. By the way, you do great work, my friend.
