Description

If you take the other direction of the street to the north you will pass the Ruin of Castle Stalker at Loch Linnhe. At low tide it is possible to go by horse to the castle. The interesting history of this dreamy place will bring you back into past ages! Castle Stalker

Lovely shot of a special place, well done Rita. (Hey at least there's a car park here now. I remember not so long ago you had to risk life and limb trying to park at the top of the hill and having to cross over it and climb over the fence and down through the boggy fields to get this view! Now theres a nice cafe and big carpark. I bet the cafe owners are raking it in with this view out their window.)

To aangus: yes, we parked there in the moment they closed the cafe. I had to ask if I'm allowed to go through the gate and take shots! And I thought the same: a good place for the cafe!

I love your fascinating stories and history lessons, and these photos from Scotland are just so good and beautiful! I love this one in particular. you travel to such wonderful places..places I've only dreamed about. Rver since seeing Brigadoon I've wanted to visit Scotland..and here I am viewing its incredible beauty through your wonderful artist eye; the next best thing. Thank you for the trip, Rita!

What a beautiful country Scotland is. This picture is amazing. The light, the complete atmosphere.. awesome.. I realy would like to go there..frankly I am surprised I never had the courage to go there.. I know it is beautiful. I think there is just one reason not to go there. Scotland not only is famous about it's scenery, but also on it's bad wheather and that is the only thing that keeps me away from there. OK.. what am I talking about.. this picture is very, very nice and that is what counts here..

A marvellous shot, Rita. The weather is the reason that artists love Scotland. Allegedly they cannot get such lighting anywhere else in the world. Try watercolour painting in the rain, though!
