Description

A squad of Drone Troopers moving through the deserted inner streets of a burned out industrial complex. The three troopers shown here are the vanguard of a small company deployed to clear this sector. Scans reveal that there are no life forms in the vicinity. Despite the negative readings, troopers will enter each structure and set off EMP charges and thoroughly investigate to ensure that the building is safe. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - All models created in LightWave 3D and converted to Poser. This image rendered entirely in Poser with foreground dust done in postwork. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dystopian Drone Troopers by stonemason and Moebius87 available at DAZ DecoTech Modular Prop System available here at the Renderosity Market Place

I think Ajax had the same thoughts that I did. Moe... Poser.... render!!!???!!! Cool looking stuff - I always find it interesting how people go at transferring their artistic visions to different programs that have different pros or cons.

Supurb as always. :-). I Dont want to appear obtuse here but if they are seeking life forms what benefit will EMP bursts have? EMP may be handy for taking out drone troops but humans armed with a stick, or worse? Forgive me if I am missing some detail here. :-)

Sorry. I should have been more specific. These Drone Troopers are clearing the area of any kind of threat whether they are life-forms or otherwise. The EMP burst should take care of most mundane sort of threat-devices, and the Drone Troopers can pretty much take care of anything else. Drone Troopers are also hardened against EMP blasts so the burst would not be self-defeating. :o) Once the area is cleared, it is marked and flagged for the next unit to set-up occupancy. The nice thing about non-human ground troops is their ability to self-maintain for prolonged periods without the constant umbilicus of a support unit. Drone Trooper doctrine dictates numbers overkill, so an occupying force would be of massive deployment. They will easily be able to occupy and effectively hold any territory taken by virtue of sheer numbers alone.
