Description
*It's here again:
the day devoted to all my scaring doubts,
the day when everything has the shape
of a misleadin demon ready to eat me out.
It's here, and I do tremble on my unstable legs,
I'd rather pass today like corpse in my own bed...
But I have to move,
even if I have no idea how to surface
out from my fears,
out of my mistrusts.
The door of this room is like the end of a tunnel,
an eye of black cat with just dim light out of its pupil:
but I do wanna fight
and reach my balance back...
I know I'm maybe falling,
but there's no other way round there.
For all I wanna say,
for all I wanna be
there are 1 million more
of days just like this:
but for all I wanna say,
and for all I wanna be,
there's just one choice to take,
and it's to fight the fear.*

When I firstly created the image for "Balance Of My Day" I tried to find a model for the idea I had in mind to illustrate it, but nothing seemed to fit the plan as I would have loved so I just decided to draw in photoshop,this image you can see here as alpha version.
But this poem was too personal to let an unpersonal image fits the memory I still have of "those kind of bad days". And so I created again a Beta version of the image, that I present you now.
It's what I had in mind since the start for this poem. I think it's an image that stays within my head since 96, when I actually wrote that poem. Now I think fears have definitely faded out.
But no one can really predict the future, so this image stays as image of what I don't wanna feel like anymore.

Again, when you post your old poems, I am so glad you feel otherwise nowadays. I recognize the feelings you had, had them myself long ago, but like you I am a fighter. I love when you bring these old moods alive with fresh images, it is a way to honor your way through life, of it's shaping you to the person you are today. Fear Loneliness and Depression... The three horsemen of the emotional apocalypse... a while back I felt these three on my heels as well, I did a b&w series if you remember... It helped me stay ahead...... I feel you!

My sweet Meli, u look so damn hot sexy on those shots!!! Sorry, but that's the first thing that came to my mind! And, to be honest, to me, ur words do not fit with this image! It doesn't invoke fear nor fight at all IMHO! On a contrary, this is a very luminous and playful image! But maybe I'm misinterpreting?? I love both the poem and the image though, I just think they don't go together! ;) Huge hugs sweet angel!

Beautifully, artistically and poignantly expressed- poetically and visually. Fear is so paralyzing and seems rooted in depression.
