Chalk who is desperately seeking shelter from the approaching tox-storm finds her way blocked by a deadly ruin hunter. This image will be the third page in my post-apocalypse comic RUIN that I'm working on. Since it is the first splash page in the book I wanted to convey the sense of the devastation that the world is in. The set I originally built in Bryce didn't capture the feel or depth that I envisioned for the page so I was seriously considering removing the splash page. When I saw the background images in the Apocalyptica set by Placebo I decided to give it another try. I did a fair amount of postwork on the background to get the wall Chalk stands behind where I wanted it. Anyway huge thanks to Placebo for his awesome backgrounds, without it I couldn't have gotten so close to my original vision for the page. Non-Rendo Products Used (props for all 'da merchants!)
