Description

On top of the Steinige Matte we have a splendid vista on the south-east. It looklikes a bit the one of Gemmenalphorn 14, but we're now about 9 kilometers (6 miles) north-west distant. Behind the reddish ridge (2100 m - 2300 m, 6900 ft - 7600 ft) lies the Brienzer Lake (at 564 m, 1850 ft). You can see from and behind this ridge the lake, like Mind-expansion 4 Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 28 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

i sit here on the ground, hands under chin just soaking it all in. The view is incredible! another fabulous capture! sigh. First thing i saw when i looked at this was that deer standing in front of the reddish-brown ridge. see her? look at the title of this image. see the 7, look down to the the ridge and just a little over to the right you'll see her. Now look a little more to the right? is that a cave entrance or a dark shadow? It calls me. I get up & walk slowly to take a closer look...tiptoes, so doe won't run away...vote!

It must be cold and yet excitingly refreshing there. I can see the spots of snow here and there between the rocks. Its not an easy terrain to hike to. I'm just wondering how you got there? Beautiful Capture. Aloha

Is is nice to see these pictures in a series as the various stone formations and peaks start to become familiar. Another excellent photo.

I love this one, the contrasts of terrain are fantastic and the small patches of snow suggest how chilly it must be! Like sharky I would love to know how long it takes to get to these various points! This is a really interesting capture, thanks!

Beautiful landscape, Jan-Carel! Breathtaking view, and nice colours of the forground, opposed to the two chain of moutains in the background. The view is so clear and you can see so far!! Thanks!! V

Great shot, Jan-Carel. Layer upon layer, variety without any repetition, such is the creation of God. The impression of depth is almost overwhelming. Thanks, John

Unusual to see the red ridge sandwiched between the two...really stands out. Also love the rocks strewn about in the foreground...like some primeveil graveyard...awesome shot.
