Description

I'm not sure what I should say about this... it was a pretty personal picture, but by the 10th hour that I've worked on this whatever profound meaning I had in mind all went out the window (however, I do hate crying in public). Did this in PS7 and Painter 8. It took longer than 10 hours ;) As far as technique goes, I was going for more of the style that other Asian artists employ with their fantasy/character art; more focus on colour, lots of anal retentive details in the costume, atmospheric background etc. Hope you like. I can see how this would be meaningful to you. It's actually a very powerful image with beautiful pastel colors and you've captured the sadness in her expression perfectly. I looked at both the process and detail and find your work amazing and inspirational.
