Description

To me, every day feels like a new beginning, a day I am lucky to have ahead of me. I don't plan on wasting it, and when I look back on the day, I never consider that I have done any wasting - even if all I have done is find a moment to rest. When I consider at which moment my current journey began, I usually come up with the answer, "This morning." This means that I have experienced 12508 journeys so far, and have many thousands of adventures ahead of me, just waiting to be discovered! I like to always consider love-making in the context that this could be the last time and make an appropriate effort. It's important to me to make the most of every minute of every day, and remember to see the beautiful details along the way. These precious little moments carry me through the more difficult times. On 14 November 2004, I became 300000 hours old. When I consider that I have potentially got about another 500000 hours ahead of me, I feel a definite sense of humbleness. I have much yet to live! It's also very exciting to think that I have potentially got so many opportunities ahead of me to make a difference in the world! When I rise from bed feeling droopy and lethargic, I now realise it is important to plan some exercise in the day ahead. The tiredness after some hard physical labour in the yard is a much nicer feeling to take to bed at night. It's always important to stop and let the people in your life know how much you love them, in whatever way it is that you prefer to express such things. Always remember the importance of random acts of kindness. Even the smallest things, when heartfelt, are remembered. Notice a child and give them eye contact, then greet them - you'll be sure to have an interesting conversation, or at least to receive the lovely flash of a quiet smile. These are the important, life giving interactions in life. Always, always, find some time for a laugh. This will make you live longer. Honesty is truly the best policy. Even the painful things are best told truthfully. Anything less will only create problems.

Wisdom is best shown with a drop of humility - as you have done so effectively here. Beautifully written.
