Description

Closer to the south-east of the Hohgant we see the pastures of two bordering cantons at heights up to about 1500 m (5000 ft). It is the origin of the Emme, and the Emmental (valley of the Emme) starts right here. Perhaps you know the famous Emmentaler cheese; well, there are many farms in this valley where they make these cheeses. Behind these pastures you see the mountain-ridge of the Brienzer Rothorn (2350 m, 7709 ft) that can be reached by railway, and behind it lies Lake Brienz (564 m, 1850 ft). There is also a webcam with a view from this mountain. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 45 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Mate...... I think you have a lot more from your trips that you don't share. You seem to study the terrains well and your details are always interesting.... I would suggest that you print out a book of your trips...... Bravos!!:O))

Lot's of natural color that carves with tonal magic. The way down is kept in the mind as subdued. Patience spreads.

An excellent, graded natural coloured view, almost of a hidden valley, Jan-Carel. Thanks for this one. It might spark off a story for my grandson. Regards, John.
