Description
Nichols Cyn in NM.
A dry desolate place where one goes, but does not stay.
Wild life only use this as a pass to another place.
So dry that even weeds don't have a chance here.
Air is still, hot, and sickly, overpowering.
The Sentry has been here for over 100 years.
Nothing disturbed him in life or in death.
There never was, not even once.
He is a warning to others, to be ready to enter and die, or turn around and live.
The Sentry is not always good at his job.
A wagon train in 1856,
A party of prospectors in 1873, they didn't see the Sentry, they didn't hear his moans on the winds of the still clinging air.
The Sentry does the best he can, to warn, but as you can see he is limited.
Some say they heard him and turned around, some don't say at all because they didn't.

Picture by picture; your work is steadily getting better and better. Everything about this picture is beautiful; the color; the surfaces; the sky; all, excellent!

You have presented a crisp and stark view with the mysterious elements of your narrative descriptions as well.
