Description
This photo has been taken last spring. This photo represents the many orchards the Netherlands once had.. .But they become increasingly rare, because they no longer are needed for the production of fruit. Much of our fruit nowadays originates from South European countries and this means our own orchards become useless. Many of them already disappeared. Especially when an old orchard is wasted, it's an awful shame, because this is the home of a great variety of animals.
The orchard on this picture is a combination between an old orchard (with large trees) and a recent type.
