Description

It snowed all throughout the night and it was so pretty to see at first light this morning. I wandered into the kitchen to get the coffee brewing while singing, "It's beginning to look alot like Christmas". Snooker, my Amazon parrot, joined in on the second chorus with what sounded very much like Iron Butterfly's "Inna Gadda Da Vita"... but somehow we made it work... lol!

Created in Ultra Fractal (I dragged one of my APO trees into UF... then resized and recolored it) with frame and sig in PSP7. Thanks ever so much, you guys, for all the support and ecouragement you've given me via your incredibly gracious feedback on my previous uploads... and thank you for having a peek at this one. :) Helen

Helen, the sphere in this one is outstanding. It has a refractive quality that is better than anything I have ever done. I hope you don't mind but I am going to make a suggestion: with that sort of light play I want to see it cast a shadow or something on to the setting around the sphere. Something that says that light does pass through the sphere. It would need to be tight and subtle. At least it would be worth a try, maybe on your next image. If you keep building spheres like this I am going to be asking you for lessons :)

Beautiful work, most suitable for the holidays! I still love those Apo trees and you've done great with the sphere. Love the way it reflects and transmits the light and the background reminds me of a holly bush with some red berries starting to really show. Excellent image!*

Very festive, Helen! The green background looks a lot like it's been created out of some sort of metallic foil. A truly wonderful Xmas piece:)

Beautiful Christmas fractal, Helen! I like the translucent red sphere and the all the Christmassy holly-like forms surrounding it. Sounds like you and Snooker had quite a jam session going! lol
