Description

In a certain angle the water appears a bit reddish (no filters used here, no postwork except normal scanning procedures, the slide is really in this tone). Only the wrinkles on the right side make us aware it is water we're looking at with some trees in front of it. Yesterday John recognized the water as if it were milk; the glacier feeding this lake adds outwash to it, fine particles that color the water as I explained in Grimselpass 6 (from where you can see this lake as well as (even better) on Grimselpass 5, where the track where we go now is almost visible, a little after the waterfall). Very perceptive of you, John! Little chance Queen Cleopatra would bath in it, it's pretty cold water. :) Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 300 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

My daughter will like this one, Jan-Carel, both for the rosy colours and also for the impression that another world is just out of focus, only a few metres in front of the lens. Perhaps we do need different eyes to make out what is beyond.
