Description

It's amazing how much time you can spend fine-tuning render setting with hdri, sss, etc. And I'm not sure if my renders are getting worse, or my eye for realism is getting better, but I feel like I'm getting further away from realism....anyway....this is the old Profile render + an amazing number of hours tweaking. This particular render has a single point light, plus lighting from a hdri texturemap (visible in the background). There must be too much light in the scene, since the "redness" in her face is overdone - giving it an over-exposed look. Spent ages trying to get sss working in her eyes, but for technical reasons (multi textures on a single poly object), the misss shader wont work.

The overall feeling is excellent, but you have a difference of tone between the head and the body.

Very nice work I agree the neck needs same settings as the head. making the spotlight blue color might help with the redness on the skin. Anyways I always like the look of your renders Excellent work :)

You'll get it eventually. One would tend to forget the dozens of minor tweaks one has in a loaded poser figure clicked out of the library. All that relearned from scratch in a new program...Ever make eyelashes invisible or blond? It helps on some levels. It's nice to not see all the dark rings on the features from poserlights.

Hi, first i would like to tell you that you did well. BUT there are two things which would change you image a lot.. 1) as a student of art i was more than often told to look at the eyes because they make you image and you charecter life!!!!! Looking at your eyes i just see holes in them no epresion!!!! CHANGE them, tutorials can be found on web, and you will be more than supriesed, i promise!!!!!!!!!!! 2) Even if a women uses this red (unneedfull) thing on her lips it NEVER has such a strong or hard edge as in you image!! Try to change these two things and the ranking of "excellent" will not be enough for your imae.
