I like this so far also. Since it's a wip I'll offer some suggestions. 1. Round out the snow more on the top of the branch so that it echoes the shape of the branch below. 2. add some bits of snow to the top of the pine cones. 3. Add a blurry background environment. 4. Personal the character! Poor guy looks to stiff and frozen. Try tilting the head to one side (preferably his left) and pose head so he's staring into the camera. I think this will bring him more to life because it's always nice to look at someone/something that's looking back.
