Description

Going further along the lake we can see the source of this lake better: the glacier covered with rocks and sand that feeds this lake with fresh glacier-milk. It is warm enough here to walk without coat on this track. The sun warms this landscape still enough. Looks a little like the Maroon Bells area around Aspen, Colorado. That is not a good thing to a maker of stereotypes for courtroom use. Lawrence Aspen Peggy Guggenheim's first husband was alleged to subject her to risk of great bodily harm in confrontations. Are there lamas here? Sorry, I'm a bit off kilter learning of the tie. Did an avalanche sweep through here? Really nice pic, I'm going to have to duck out at this point.

plops self down on the bank, chin in hands, observing I like this place! How deep is that lake you think? i want to be careful i don't slip and falll in! sigh it's such a beautiful view here!!! the snow topped mountains and sky are so beautiful, and i can almost feel that shadow moving so the glacier will soon be in bathed in light. The composition of this one is so balanced and full of contrasts. but i just like it here because the beautiful vista makes me melt...just like the glacier i guess!!! :)

A beautiful viewpoint, Jan-Carel. I see scrub, saplings and grass on this side, but the opposite side seems very barren. However it may possibly be easier going, if one was fit enough. Even contemplating the trek ahead leaves me feeling exhausted. After forgetting my blood pressure medicines ( by only 90 minutes ) this morning, I felt as if I was dying. Indeed I caused fellow travellers, on the bus, to worry that I might have a heart attack! Luckily I got home and took my pills. However I am only now resting, coming up for 2200 hours. This shot gives me a reason to stop, assess the journey so far, and plan slightly ahead. God willing. Regards, John.
