Description

Just trying out HDRI ligthing with the Vue 5 demo. Fantastic lighting capabilties and so much more in this release, but I think I need to upgrade my hardware before I "get serious" with Vue 5 :) - Now a few years ago, this kind of work would be considered "top of the cream", now it is boringly simple and easy to make. Not really my cup of tea :) But interesting to play with... Free HDR map from http://hdri.3dweave.com Postwork with Photoshop CS, levels adjustment - and the DOF, using the "Lensblur" filter, with the Vue depth-channel (grey-scale "z" image) as source. Since I started working with Photoshop CS, I haven't used the Vue DOF much. Photoshop can render in seconds - as postprocessing - what would take hours to render in Vue. In addition, if the focus, blur etc. is wrong, you just change the parameters, and render the effect again. Well, tell me what you think. This is much more Vue than me, it's a bit worrying :) Anyway, comments welcome and appreciated as always - Lars
