Description

Hi. I am testing some stuff that could potentially go in the next iteration of the RealSkinShader. This image started with a run of the script, then lots of mods were made. It includes a bunch of additional maps for various things. I've also run a modified script on her eyewhites, to simulate the sss effect they have. Her teeth are not quite there. And pls excluse a small glitch with her hair, and the neck seem (haven't done her body yet). Looking for comments.....love it, hate it, couldn't care less. Thanks.

Oh yeah - I tried to use poor lighting - so 1 main, and to fillers (1 to each side). Also, I'm looking for skin tone crits - rather than artistic quality (of which there is none!).

I think the skin tone looks good...it would be awsome if the skin tone could be adjusted.

At first i didn't really think it was all that grand, but then I realized that what was throwing me off was the eyes and teeth, I covreed those with my hands and the skin looked nearly photographic. Incredibly well done.

I like the eyes, look close to real with the reflections etc. I'm very impressed with the skin. Very natural and none of that stretching you can sometimes get near the nose leading out to the cheeks. One small nitpick and it may be the lighting, but the upper lip doesn't look very refined here. Rather the little concave bit, doesn't look very concave. Great job!

Great work! The skin is nearly perfect, only the bump-effect is a little bit too strong for my taste. The eyewhites are easily the best I have seen so far, but still a bit off. I am not sure why, but the highlights look like the are at some distance to the eyeball. Could be the geometry or the shader.

You'll need to intro a very low bias light to get the soft shadows under the eyelids and upper lip. Rat Trace would do this but will also give a bad shadow under the nose. Problem with eye reflects is they dn't know when they are shadowed by another object (eyelids). Eyesocket should be ramped up to blend better. Skin, teeth and lips are there. Maybe another hires map for irises. Square reflects have much promise. Highlighting in preTexture on ears could help too. Try those teeth injections, too. Flaws speak volumns!

Nice, but something about the specularity bothers me - especially on the nose bridge and cheeks. Can't put my finger on it. Too much, too oily, can't say for sure.

All but the eyelids the bump mapping is perfect (for my liking), the lids are too pitted. The actual skin is incredibly real! I agree on the nose bridge specularity, that shine is usually slightly lower on the nose slope. You're doing a fantastic job!

The main skin araes are pretty amazing, the only areas which look slightly off to me are above the eyelids (too much displacement) and just before the left ear (there seems to be some 'fuzzyness' again from the displacement I think). The reflection from the eyes is v nice (the eye map is lacking somewhat).
