Description

I mailed this sphere to the UF mailing list a couple of weeks ago. Since then I haven't been able to figure out what to do with it. It has been placed in several settings but I could never get happy with any of them. I finally decided to put it to bed with this one. Lot's of sphering around going on around here lately :)

I think you have chosen a lovely setting for it! I like the cloud elements behind it, very loose and insubstantial. They provide a good contrast with the lacy but well-defined 'branches'. :)

A beautiful image from the master of "sphering!" I finally decided to try my hand after all the inspiration I've received from your images. I love the TIA designs here..and the depth the light and color in the sphere lend. Looks like an enchanted forest. I also love the flow..and the way the atmoshere backing the sphere creates an ethereal feel. Really outstanding, Keith.

When I see this image (and your other recent posts) I feel that I could need a tutorial for working with TIA and with spheres...

The background reminds me of snow covered pine trees, and the sphere is like a gift from heaven. Perfect, Keith, but then, I could expect nothing less from the master of spheres :) I agree with Andreas, I think I could use a tutorial, too. So, how about one?

Just absolutely beautiful!!!I love the way the sphere seems to glow from within - fantastic lighting!! The tree/fern-like design makes it look like an enchanted forest - inside a Christmas ornament! Outstanding!!!

Well, I don't see the problem, but the 3d effect on this one is awesome. Great lighting and colors and composition too - all around winner.

Make three or four designs, map them on 3D objects, make a screen saver with the objects slowly rotating in random orbits, perhaps varying the size and lighting of individual spheres (is that possible?). Sell them and retire. You could sell your wonderful work as fantacy backgrounds with no problem (perhaps you already do). Very excellent work and such beautiful designs.
